About the
Angel Island Lifeguard Association
The Angel Island State Lifeguard Association was founded in 2025 as a cooperating 501(c)3 for the Angel Island Junior Lifeguard Program. While we are a new fixture in the San Francisco Bay area we are already working hard to support the Lifeguard & Junior Lifeguard Programs on Angel Island and educate the public on how to safely recreate in the water.

If you are interested in getting involved with the Association or the State Park please see more information below.

Community Outreach
Through our support of the Angel Island Jr. Lifeguard Program we encourage safe aquatic recreation, a strong work ethic and resilience in the face of adversity. The Angel Island Junior Lifeguard Program serves the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, including Tiburon, Sausalito, Marin and San Francisco.
Our vision is a future where Angel Island's coves and beaches are pristine and thriving, where lifeguards are equipped with the best skills and resources to ensure public safety, and where the community is deeply connected to the protection of our coastal ecosystems. We aspire to lead by example, prompting others to join us in our dedication to preserving the natural beauty of Angel Island's coastal areas.
