A few hours on
Angel Island

Hike or Bike the Perimeter Road (5.5 miles)

• This road passes by many of the historic sites on the island, and can be done in 2.5 hours, but more time is recommended to stop and explore the history and Bay views along the way.

Hike or Bike the Fire Road (4 miles)

• A shorter, more rugged and elevated route is a good option for mountain bikes. Bikes are available for rent in Ayala Cove on a seasonal basis, contact the Angel Island Company for more information.

• Bring your binos! Angel Island is home to a vast array of bird species, including the Brown Pelican, Bald Eagle, California Scrub Jay, Acorn Woodpecker, Spotted Towhee, and many more!
